
In its reply to the EC consultation on Skills portability, action 2 – facilitating, modernising and expanding recognition processes for regulated professions, EFAA for SMEs expresses its support for measures that enhance labour mobility while ensuring the protection of the public interest.
The response highlights the crucial role of SMPs and the need to reduce administrative burdens in recognising professional qualifications across Member States.
EFAA stresses the importance of maintaining high ethical, competence and oversight standards, supported by consistent EU‑level training principles. It also calls for harmonised digital recognition procedures to lower costs for SMEs and ensure clarity, trust and legal certainty across the EU.
