EFAA for SMEs – Position Statement on the EC Communication on the Single Market Strategy

EFAA for SMEs welcomes the European Commission’s efforts to improve the Single Market for services. The paper calls for stronger alignment between national company law, tax law and accounting frameworks, and supports removing unjustified barriers to cross‑border accounting services. It also stresses the need to avoid any “race to the bottom” and highlights the key role of professional accountants and strong PAOs in ensuring high‑quality, trusted services.
