EFAA for SMEs Response to call for evidence: Simplifying EU rules on direct taxation – Omnibus

In its response to the European Commission’s consultation on simplifying EU direct taxation rules (Omnibus), EFAA supports the objective of reducing administrative burdens for SMEs.

It highlights that SMEs and SMPs are disproportionately affected by complex tax rules and calls for more proportionate and practical approaches, including less documentation, a joint application portal, and greater harmonisation across Member States.

Overall, EFAA stresses that simplification would help SMEs and SMPs focus more on productive activities.
