Early Warning Europe Day

The Early Warning Europe Network is a pan-European organisation, of which EFAA is a member, committed to raising awareness and facilitating the discussion on early warning and second chance for SMEs. Accountancy Europe is supporting this event by providing its venue.

The COVID-19 crisis has completely changed the business environment and confronts many SMEs with solvency concerns. Support measures should prepare for recovery through solvency instruments and early warning mechanisms to help SMEs in difficulties turn around their business to a viable situation or close down with a minimum impact. In this context, the goal of the event is to bring together policymakers and entrepreneurs at the European level to take stock of progress made in developing effective preventive restructuring and second chance frameworks, and offer inspiration for the future.

The topic is relevant and urgent, and this is recognised by the European Commission. We are proud to introduce the EU Commissioner for Justice, Didier Reynders, as our keynote speaker. Other speakers include acting Director-General of DG JUST, Salla Saastamoinen, Secretary-General of SME United, Véronique Willems, and Secretary-General of the Early warning Europe Network, Morten Møller.

The event will be organised in a hybrid format physically at the ACE Events venue in Brussels, Avenue d’Auderghem 22, and with an opportunity to follow the event remotely via webstream. Please register here: https://www.earlywarningeurope.eu/events, where you will also be able to express your preference for physical attendance vs. webstream.

The full agenda will be forwarded to all registered participants in time before the event.
