The Future of Sustainability Assurance: Ensuring the Standards are Scalable

Josephine Jackson, Vice-Chair of the IAASB and Chair of the Sustainability Assurance Task Force, will present the exposure draft International Standard on Sustainability Assurance (ISSA) 5000, General Requirements for Sustainability Assurance Engagements. On 2 August 2023, the IAASB issued for public comment its proposed ISSA 5000; comments are possible until 1 December 2023. Josephine’s presentation will focus on the importance of ensuring that the standards are scalable and on the impact on SMPs and SMEs. Rogier Wezenbeek, Senior Expert, European Commission, DG FISMA, will present the Commission’s views. The webinar will be closed by a Q&A session.
