Speaking for SMPs

Representing and advocating on behalf of SMPs while promoting their visibility and recognition in Europe. Our key objective is ensure a level playing field in the market for professional services and broad recognition, by regulators, policy makers, business and the wider public, of the key role that SMPs play in providing high quality services. These services range from accounting and assurance through to business advisory and tax and are provided primarily to small- and medium-sized entities (SMEs).

EFAA’s EU Professional Regulation Expert Group (PREG) meets regularly to develop policy positions and responses to European Commission public consultations as well as committees of the European Parliament

Below is the archive of policy positions and responses to public consultations as well as events held to project our voice. A compendium of all key positions, including those relating to professional standards, is available here.

The PREG is chaired by EFAA President, Salvador Marin, and the members are listed here.
